2008 Best Practices Sessions:
The next best practices session is scheduled for May 15th:
Please join AskAway Illinois and AskAway Wisconsin at this month's virtual reference best practices session
Jim "Laser" Hahn of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign library will be discussing mobile learning

March 20th: Charlotte Bruce of Olney College will discuss her experiences with AskAway and her incorporation of the Qwidget into Olney's services. She is one of the first Qwidget adopters in IL and will (I'm sure) have wisdom to share with those that are ready to build a Qwidget!
Ellen Schmid and Lynnette Singh of Geneva Public Library will discuss Practitioner to Practitioner Iming and Transferring questions while monitoring

John Dey of the Racine Public Library will be our featured speaker on February 21st. He'll be talking about his work as a QuestionPoint backup librarian, and sharing information on the expectations placed on backup librarians, how they operate, and any tips and tricks he's picked up on juggling multiple questions as a backup librarian. Review of statistics - current and annual from 2002 to 2007 and discussion of asking participating librarians how their libraries gather and share statistics, Business update PR Update Review of chat transcripts.
